INDOOR PHOTOGRAPHY

It is not always easy to capture radiant smiles and even skin tones indoors without dedicated screens and lighting equipment. This example shows how post-production retouching can recover detail, balance skin tones, and improve the overall presentation.

What Was Done

The subjects were selected and the curves adjusted in Adobe Photoshop to reveal hidden detail in the shadows and highlights.
Skin blemishes were removed with the Healing Brush.
Natural skin tones were rebuilt from sampled colours, using the Airbrush tool to restore blown-out highlighted areas.
Exposure was adjusted to reintroduce the skin's natural highlights.
Teeth and eyes were whitened in PortraitProfessional, where the Touch-up Brush was also used.
