RAHEL – West African Model

This model was tall and beautiful with big eyes and a captivating smile. Her skin however, had several blemishes and she was quick to sweat under the studio lights. Thus, a lot of time was needed to retouch her photos. But, the results led to an absolutely stunning, magazine-quality photos.

WHAT WAS DONE:

• 1. The shadows were lightened in Adobe Photoshop, so as to reveal hidden detail.
• 2. To remove skin blemishes and scars, the healing brush tool was applied to the problem areas.

• 3. To create natural, healthy-looking skin tones, various color samples were taken from the model's skin. The airbrush tool was then used to fix skin blemishes, such as spots and pimples, and even out skin tones.
• 4. The image was then passed through PortraitProfessional where the touch-up tool was used. In conjunction to subtly reshaping the face and narrowing her eyes, her skin was enhanced by removing all grease, sweat and shine from the model's skin. All this was done while retaining the model's original skin texture.
• 5.A copy of the color photo, was then converted to black and white.
